During a game between the Dallas Stars and San Jose Sharks, tensions boiled over towards the end of the 3rd period. Probably the most blatant act was this slash by Ryane Clowe on Stephane Robidas (while Robi was tussling with Joe Thornton). Krys Barch later exacted a measure of revenge for Clowe's blatant, un-penalized act by challenging Clowe to a fight a few minutes later.

Robidas was the guy who broke Thornton's finger last season with an uncalled for slash. Then he starts messing with Thornton again so Clowe wasn't going to stand for it.
And Clowe knows Robidas won't fight so he gave him a love tap with his stick instead. :)

@VeriSheri Honestly it was dallas who was the team taking cheap shots at the sharks the whole game. Robidas had just gotten away with a borderline cross-checking/interference penalty on Thornton, Clowe was simply standing up for his teammate. That slash, while it should have been a penalty, didnt hurt Robidas and didnt deserve more than 2 mins. And to all the whining dallas fans, Clowe was assessed a $2500 fine by the NHL for that play. Your players do worse nightly and usually get away w/ it.
