http://bit.ly/91I0oy I sit down to review the Visible Dust Arctic Butterfly 724. This is a unit meant to help you clean your image sensor in your digital SLR. I tested it out myself on a very very dirty sensor and it really made a huge difference, the first time that its. Than it just made the whole situation worse with sensor smudge (see the smudge at this link http://bit.ly/91I0oy). I have the before and after images at the link above.

  • I used a air blower to clean my sensor and it worked very well. Plus it was 9 $ Can.

Now my sensor is free of dust and I am a happy man.

  • @selca14 be very very very very careful with compressed air and your sensor. It is not recommended to use them on a sensor.

  • thing is it's not really design to be used as a stand alone cleaner, use it first instead of of blower then use the swabs,

But hey each to their own.

  • @snappuppy I think I will stick with the rocket air to start after that right to the swabs as the smudge is just way to much for me you know.

  • @JaredPolin Fair point. Anyways, we could go on and on and on about it.

  • @snappuppy we all can agree we hate the dust.

  • I got the same results from that overpriced piece of crap. Smudges on my sensor. Now I need to spend more money to clean up their mess. Canadians...

  • I used a quality sensor swab and only a couple of drops of cleaning fluid on the swab, but I found that I could see a smear on my sensor afterwards. I found a couple of brushes with Arctic Butterfly polished up the sensor and removed the smear. This was the only safe thing I could think of using so I'm really glad I had it and will use after future cleaning of the sensor . You just have to be careful not to brush around the sides inside the chamber and only use it on the sensor itself.

  • @JaredPolin why what happens if you use compressed air cans?

  • I have the Visible Dust Arctic Butterfly 724 with LED light ... and it works. So long as the particles on the sensor is dry and not sticky.

  • hey jared i am a very fan of you, and i wonder why don't you do some braids, it will look good :)

  • Pictures not working :(

  • Lol, a commode is what you clean you butt with :P
