  • @R3dSt4r90 I can speak simple-Malay. My father's Singaporean but my mom's Malaysian and I've been living in Malaysia for 12 years. My prime language has always been English from the start of Primary 2. In Malaysia one must need to learn 3 languages but Chinese is not included in the "PSLE". Still, like many Chinese - Singaporeans, I'm terrible at it. However, Malay was definitely an easier subject than Chinese judging from my years of experience in Malaysia.

  • @crazyweirdomimicers i hope you're not one of those who live in malaysia without being able to speak malay..

  • @R3dSt4r90 That is mega bullshit, I'm not even from Singapore, I'm from Malaysia and I strongly disagree that Malay sounds better AND is easier than ENGLISH but for my case, I believe it is easier than mandarin

  • @R3dSt4r90 Its still biased towards Malays whatever you say.

But for your benefit I'll tell you why we use English instead of Malay.

Its because SG was once colonised by the British which used English.

Lazy? When people go SG they think Money only who freaking care about learn Malay, not like anyone gave them a million dollars to learn Malay.

Okay anyway, I agree Malay easier than Chinese.

  • @R3dSt4r90 Oi SAY wad to chinese u Kanna sai lah say Hard-as-fuck den ur mother is fuck ur ass aar

  • @TheSwordOfFire for EVERYONE its easier to learn malay than english

its such a nice and easy language.. but it gets more and more redundant even in malaysia..

just because the people who move to malaysia or singapore are too lazy to learn the language

while chinese people bring their hard-as-fuck tonal language to other countries THATS NOT FAIR

  • @R3dSt4r90

That's what I call biased towards a race.

The reason we use English is because we have four races in SG and harmony between the races is important to Singapore.

And it just isn't fair if you use Malay.

Anyway, you might think Malay is easier but lets say I study French since young,

which do you think I'd say its easier Malay or French?

( I study Chinese, but frankly speaking im not good at it. )

I'd probably think French sounds nicer too.
