  • At :23, I'm assuming "zang" is vocals, but what language is it?

  • Hi Jeff - the language is Dutch. This concert came from a recording by the Netherlands TV Channel AVRO of the North Sea Jazz Festival which took place in the coastal town of Den Hague.

  • So glad to find this. One of my all time favorite singers. Saw her perform in the 1980's -- she was fabulous. Good to know things like this exist so people can still see this wonderful performer.

  • My thoughts entirely. If I could get my video transfer system to behave itself I might be able to get more uplifted from this fine lady. Keep watching.

  • Hello, thanks for this. I have a recording of this arrangement, from 1976 at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. Is the ending cut off on your video? If you can post this in full, it would be great.

    Thanks again.

  • The relaxation of this woman when singing.. my God, it's how we should live!

Carmen McCrae was one of the greatest every vocalists to grace this planet - thank you for the music xxxxxx

  • Hey, this is kinda tough tempo to play!

Piano man's a bit scary for that, don't you think?

    Drum's nice.

  • This is nice, the tempo is right.

  • Thank you for appreciating african american music, as we do your beautiful culture. we are one, in this together...

  • I agree, as she says in the intro, that as a jazz fan one should know "Green Dolphin Street." I fell in love to her "Don't Ever Leave Me" and have been a fan ever since.

  • WOW!
