[Talon's P.O.V]
I awoke in my squishy bed with a smile plastered solid onto my face. Last night I had asked Skyla is she wanted to come over for dinner to meet my family, for the simple fact they heard a bunch about her. I shifted my legs over to the side of my bed and arose, wiping my eyes to rid of the sleepiness still within. I lifted my body off of the bed and stood, balancing myself out. I strutted towards the bathroom and completed my business, heading down to breakfast. I had already indicated what was being made for breakfast, cinnamon waffles with bacon and scrambled eggs. My mother definitely had a knack for cooking, but had only made this certain meal when my father was home. This was a rare time. I turned the corner and saw my family there, my siblings and parents. Everyone quickly devoured breakfast as usual and parted ways to prepare for school. Once I had arrived back into my room, I silently shut the door; cutting off from the hectic world I labeled my home.
"Talon honey, ten minutes to get ready." My mother called through the door, not opening it. She had this thing about privacy at need be times.
"Thank you mom." I bellowed softly at her, as to not bother my father whom was resting for two more hours until he had to head to work.
"Care to take your siblings to school for me?" My mom requested, knocking softly on the wooden door and slowly walking in, with her eyes covered. "Is it clear?" She added in.
"Yes mother, it's clear." I answered instantly, brushing off the piece of lent from my shirt. She uncovered her eyes and smiled at me.
"Can you take them?" She asked, looking at me with hope in her eyes. "I have to get to the boutique at eight and they start class at eight. So please honey?" She questioned, fixing her shirt.
"Of course. All their lunches ready?" I asked, plopping down on my bed and slipping on my socks and shoes, tying them up quickly since it was already seven forty.
"No, just have two more to do, but can you do those as well. You know Hope and Faith like their lunches the same, a twin thing." My mother chuckled, shifting on her feet.
"Sure I can. Have a good meeting mom." I stated, kissing her cheek goodbye.
"Thanks so much Tal." She said, walking out the door, but twirled quickly right around. "And Talon?" She asked.
"Yes mom?" I retorted, looking up from the ground.
"I can't wait to meet this Skyla girl you've been speaking so highly of. She seems like she has made an impact on you." Kathlyn, my mother, spoke, smiling and waving goodbye. I smirked at the sound of her name and shook out of my daze, sauntering towards the kitchen to prepare my sisters, Hope and Faith's lunches.
Within five minutes their lunches were ready and the group was off to school. After a five minute walk towards the school, we had arrived there. I hugged each of my siblings goodbye and watched them scurry off to class. Once they were all safely inside, I instantly headed off to NY High to meet up with Skyla. I quickly headed up the steps that separated the outside world from the one I cherished so dearly. I strutted up the steps and fast walked to my locker. As I turned the corner in the hallway, my attention focused on Skyla in a floral top with a black skirt on. Her hair was swept to one side and had on bang slightly in her face. I gulped back a clod in my throat and began to saunter over to her. She was talking to Keegan and laughing sort of loud, but the smiling placed on her face caused goose bumps to rise on my skin. As I slowly approached her, my insides tingled, signaling my nerves.
"Hey Sky." I said, leaning close to her. She twisted her body and immediately her eyes glistened as they looked at me. She smiled so big, I swear she created the longest ocean.
"Tal!" She ecstatically said, gripping her arms around my neck and pulling me into a hug. I caressed her waist and felt at peace.
"REALLY TALON?!" A voice bellowed, causing Skyla and I to separate to see who had called me out, what a surprise it wasn't.
