@TODORIANSGAMES this laptop is NOT a very portable laptop..infact..its what we call a mobile desktop. Minecraft? no. hah no. i own one myself..stay awayyyy..

Can u do some games on this. Like mincraft and runes if magic cus I'm wondering to buy this for traveling and gaming I know it's heavy but I'm well prepared.....

You should upgrade your graphics card to the 9800M GTX GT2, it is sooo much better than the 8700GT, ever since I upgraded mine, I noticed a huge difference in performance graphics wise.

hey im thinking bout ordering one but should i wait for the next one? or this one is powerfull enought im getting the same specs as you but im getting better graphic card 9800 but the thing i dont get is what is physx card its the opition after the graphic card well its just 75$ but its allways nice to knnow what is it oyea how long is the battery life? because ima be traveling a lot yeah i know its heavy im use to it i allready got a 17inch HP but let me know thanks

id order one now. Its plenty powerful. has a Backlit Keyboard and Light FX can't go wrong

Very cool. The ironic thing is that I used to have an XPS Gen 1 with that same top cover on it... fine machine. Unfortunately I had to sell it, but it helped me pick up my own 1730(also ironically, in Sapphire Blue). Seeing the size comparison between the two definitely made my day.... I knew the Gen 1's power adapter was huge, but this 1730's is a monster. :) Much quieter machine, at the very least... the Gen 1's fans were freakin' hurricanes.

lol what a coincidence you ordered the same top cover on both machines. Yeah i agree with you the m1730 is much quieter than the Gen 1. My Gen 1 still works to this day no problems at all
