  • Michael's my second cousin...and all of the KALUTAs and SEXTONs are wonderful.

  • Excellent!

  • I was so fortunate to get a chance to look through Starstruck with him. I said the same thing a few years back and asked him why he didn't do a Tarot and he said that he didn't know enough about each card to feel comfortable trying to illustrate the meaning of each. They are quite complex but he is a brillant man so I'm sure he would be a quick study and we may get a wonderful surprise someday.

  • loved it, Michael and I went to school together in Richmond Va. I have a pic of him and me in 1968!! We recreated it in 2007 when I visited him. Thanks for th tribute he is a wonderful human being and fantastic artist!!!

  • Sure thing. I enjoyed making it. I think I met you at the Atlanta Comic Con.

  • What is the name of the song please :)

  • i met mike though my father. mike use to hang out outside my dad's old bagel shop in Manhattan. in fact, mike drew my dad and his close friend into his comic "what if stan lee created batman". my dad's the man in the red shirt behind the counter if you've read it. knowing him though my dad got me into art which is what i'll end up majoring in. looking at all of his work is still inspirational (particularly the shadow). thanks for the video i enjoyed it a ton and it served to be very nostalgic.

  • What makes Mike a great talent is his layout and designs....he has a great imagination. Proud to own several originals.

  • I was fortunate enough to meet Micheal Kaluta over a dozen times through the years at various comic conventions in NYC.- (Although I haven't been able to attend any these past five years) The one thing I can say about him is that he is as generous and kind as he is talented--And as mentioned above modest about his talent. If you have chance to meet him do so you will not be dissapointed.

  • I love the Artwork. Such great talent!!!

  • Wow, you're fortunate to know him. Kaluta is being too modest about his skills. Most Tarot deck illustrators are amateurs; a well-explicated Tarot deck illustrated by a professional artist with a strong sense of form and design like Michael Kaluta would be a godsend. It would take a while to become familiar with the various symbols involved, but the information available on Tarot these days is immense. Please ask him to reconsider!
