Leaving Catalina

I make an executive decision regarding an important piece of safety equipment, in front of the world famous Sally's Waffle House in Catalina, where we had our last meal before casting off for Hawai'i.

the piece of equipment in question was already safely mounted on the boat at the time. It was only an empty box I was using as a visual aid that wound up in the waste bin... It's called an EPIRB. Electronic Position Indicating Radio Beacon.

Catalina is such an amazing place to go sailing! I love it out there on the open water, I am so jealous! You should come sailing up here in Duluth, MN!!! haha there is some real fun...might want to dress A LOT warmer!
