    I saw this episode live back in the day. If memory serves me correctly, the show was running like two minutes short and Lorne Michaels asked Steve Martin and Bill Murray to simply go out and fill the two minutes by doing something unscripted but funny. I seem to remember years later Steve Martin in an interview where he said he thought up the first line and Bill Murray simply had to roll with it and play along. Talk about comedy genius and great improv!!
