well cuz I've had a good experience with asian music so far and I've found that most of the bands I've heard are better than north american bands. but maybe that's cuz I'm so sick of all of this watered down pop shit that they play on the radio and tv and I found japanese music and haven't looked back. although one band I can honestly say that sucks is "gazette"..that guy sings off key every single song.

oh but i do know what i'm talking about. i live in japan, and there's good music but there's a bunch of bullshit too. shiina's good, i've always loved her stuff, but you can't deny the idol factories that churn out useless artist after useless artist.

yeah of course, that's everywhere. but look at it this way.. the bands that top the charts in japan are the most skilled ones. the bullshitters do ok with the right production, but are hardly ever at the top. in america, it's whatever shitty band gets the best production, almost regardless of talent.
I mean come on, Lady gaga?? Miley Cyrus? Jonas Bros? Stereos? these guys are at the top of america's music industry....
