  • Wow, they're such good actors I almost mistakened Mr. Hutchinson for Brad Pitt.

  • @DudeItzBrian - It's true. Mr. Hutchinson looked a great deal like Brad Pitt. It's a mistake that is commonly made. I'm glad that you were able to come to your senses, though!

  • this is some of the best acting i have ever seen... cough, cough...

  • @sidnomis1 - I wholeheartedly agree! All of the performers were terrific. By the way, you seem unwell. Might I recommend some arsenic for your cough?

  • hahaha these stories are the best, but funny thing is that the message the stories try to convey always seem to never faze me

  • @titoshinigami I'm a bit confused by your post. What is it exactly that doesn't faze you?

  • A little honest feedback - the weakness was in the editing more than the acting and such. Cutting from dialog too quickly, changing from cuts to fades without any apparent relation to the previous shot, etc. messes with the tone a bit. More than anything I feel amateur editing is more telling than direction or production. May not be helpful, but there it is.

  • ? the story is stupid

  • Anyway, I really liked this. The only problem would be the girl who had a big smile on her face as she took her slip, and the portrayal of Mr. Summers. Mr. Summers is described in detail as a round-faced jovial man. The guy in this video did not represent that at all. Otherwise well done!

  • @StraightAProductions I'm assuming tioshinigami is too stupid to understand the message.

  • it is not exactly like the story says.

  • 2:13 the girl was about to laugh

  • @es696 when it was first published, it received tons of negative attention and feedback.

  • @freakinHawtNESS - I don't believe it received negative attention at all. This story is included in much of the Canadian highschool curriculum.

  • Although this short story recieved negative attention, it says A LOT about the world we live in, and how so many people follow "traditions" just because someone told them too! Great Job, Shirley Jackson!

  • really interesting clip. i have read the short story on this as well.

  • so sad story, it is not fair for doing like that , this kind of tradition has been not practiced, everyone loves their lives as the same as we love our lives.
