Political Correctness And The Fifth Of November

http://iamnotahamster.net katinatreesee, in her video Remember Remember the Fifth of November Full Poem (171/365), gave a "disclaimer" explaining that the word "faggot" as it was used in that poem refers to it's original meaning "a bundle of sticks" and that she wasn't going to use it because it was not "not very suitable for our generation".

Not wanting to offend people is one thing, Political Correctness is something else entirely. Many in my generation used to call it "brain dead".

Oh, and just for the record (though I shouldn't have to say it), this is not a shot at katinatreesee, it's a shot at political correct bullshit.

My phrasing was intended to be sensitive to other people, as I always try to be, which is the way that you said is the okay way to go. Hi! Watched your vid... and I will approve it as a video response. There were more reasons as to why I did not feel compelled to recite the word f****t in my video, but I thought that it would take much too long to fully explain them. For one, I have many people who are close to me who are homosexual and you have been hurt throughout their lives by people using that word in mean ways. Secondly, I would rather not have footage of me saying that word. People can edit anything the way they like
