January 2005, Muswellbrook NSW: a SteelLink empty ore train heads off on the Ulan line. A week later, a Scone-bound 620/720 railcar stops to pick up and set down passengers.

  • @dieselpuppy74 I see no one's answered your question, they entered service in 1961 - 1968 Five of the fifteen power cars were originally fitted with two 250 horsepower Rolls-Royce horizontal in-line eight cylinder, four stroke diesel engines coupled to automatic lock-up torque converters, The other ten had two 250 horsepower General Motors in-line six cylinder, two stroke diesel engines coupled to similar transmissions, They were retired in 2007 some have been preserved thankfully

  • What era are these railcars ? I'm guessing 1950s to 1960s or so ??

    Perth had an ancient fleet of Craven DMUs which soldiered on and on and on until someone found they were full of asbestos. I think there's only a couple preserved but man, did they have character !!

  • That loco was a G class ? Or 81 class ? The horn sounds different.
