At the dedication of the Wounded Warriors Barracks and the Fisher House, there were about 1000 people present.
They did however throughout the entire ceremonies use the Luh-Jern pronunciation rather than the Joon word.
The TV stations also used the Luh-Jern word when talking about it. We are on the way.
I am going to talk to WITN Channel 7 and ask them why their regular announcers don't use the Luh-Jern pronunciation as does Channel 9.
I figure getting a little competition between them will do us some good.
Will be doing the USO show next week at the USO and you know I will be pushing Luh-jern as well as my attendance stories after attending the USO since 1946.
Will be at a Young Marines graduation ceremony tonight presenting our Detachment award for their honor graduate so I will be on line later after the event.
Jim, Bonnie and Dennis, all said to convey their best wishes to you. Even Montel Williams was there.
