@imperceptibleme I've hit a bit of a stumbling block though - I can't seem to find the specific glue that bookbinders prefer. I've been trying to find it in stores because I dislike buying stuff online 'cause of shipping costs and wait time, though I might have to buy it online anyway. It's a PVA glue that has to be strong, acid free, flexible and waterproof. (Elmer's glue is all that, except waterproof. So close!)

@Cadwaladr ah, I had to look that up in a google image search. Found on a supply website that sells those nibs (and the ones I have) for $2.50 a piece! Not bad considering that I think I might have bought the box of 40 nibs for under $10

@dreamer72fem she's a Syrian Hamster (a bit on the energetic side, too!) and their tails are only about a half inch long :)

Cool to see all your things. One question about the critter...tail gone?

It has the number 787 on it, and the tip is grooved, not ground, which indicates that it was made after 1930. It is quite interesting how much you can find out about them.

I only have one nib, but it's an Esterbrook Oval Point, and now I want to look that up and find out about it.

John it's all so fascinating! And the leather pouch you made... so neat. I can't wait to see you put your book together. Hugs!
You always have the neatest stuff. A calligrapher friend informed me that there is calligraphy software. : O Who knew?

Neat pens and container. I have modern-day calligraphy marker/pens, although I can't write in calligraphy. lol

@DanielSayWhat Actually, you have very nice handwriting (I still have the Christmas card you sent me), so I think you could develop a really good skill in calligraphy in no time :)
