Shipwrecked 2008 Battle Of The Islands Episode 14 Part 1

British Reality show, Group of strangers are placed on different islands and must persuade weekly new arrivals to join their island in an attempt to outnumber their rivals and win a share of the £100,000 prize. There are two competing tribes, named the Sharks and Tigers who start out with five castaways on each island. There is a weekly beach party in which the previous weeks guests have to choose an island to live on and new arrivals are introduced. Episode 14, Part 1 of 8.

For me this is way better than survivor because there's no cheesy host and the people here are more likeable and in survivor everyone ends up backstabbing people in the back until the end where here alot of friendships are made (granted some of them are made just to make up the numbers)

Last, there is usually one Hidden Immunity Idol and an Exile Island. At each Reward Challenge, the winning team/individual selects one person from the other team to go to Exile until next challenge, Each round of Exile, a new clue is revealed. If they FIND the HII, they can keep it the whole game/ use it once whenever. Give it away even. Use it to bargain. Hide it. Once people know you have it, they are afraid to vote you off as you can use it to blindside others. But it targets you as well.

6. Survivor is far more "twisty" -- there is a merge between 4 or 2 teams; sometimes more than one merge/team switchup; you can't know for sure when it may strike. So alliances can shift up and power positions can crumble. You seriously have to adapt on the hoof socially. 7. There is also at least 1 Immunity Idol in Survivor--the team that loses a physical challenge votes one off. PostMerge, individual wins it that round.

(Answering Q "Is this like Survivor" part 2) 5. With Survivor it is key to build oft secret alliances from near the start of the game, as it's far more cut-throat in nature. 6. I've watched a couple Survivors get to the final 2-3 end based on sheer athletic prowess which is always inspiring and amazing to see. 7. The 7-9 Jury members who vote the winner of final 2-3? Have lived at camp with them until being voted off by them. So they are keenly aware of the finalists' good and bad.

Initially I thought it might be; it's really not. Deserted Island, yes. Everything else, no. 1. Survivor starts with total number then dwindles. 2. Survivor involves physical and mental competitions every other day for 39 days straight. 3. Living conditions are like Third Island without the guide. No rations. No flint. Sometimes they go 6 days before they earn flint and can build a fire to boil water. So it's physically severe. 4. 1 person wins $1Million USD. tbc
