This is a review of the awesome BRKT Mini-Canadian knife. Like all the BRKT knives, it is practically a custom made knife, hand crafted and chosen in many ways. It is made from A2 tool steel - a very excellent steel - and hardened to the perfect degree.

Barkies will run you anywhere from $100-$500+, but are some of the best designed, produced, and most beautiful knives I've ever seen. Hopefully this review will do it justice, though I don't think I could say enough about em.

This particular model in G-10 handles cost me almost exactly $100 shipped from DLT Trading Company.

If you don't own a Barkie, get one! .... then you'll want to get 20 more.

  • Just ONE more... I don't think so! I got my first one (Fox River), then came the Aurora, then finally, at about 8:15 PM tonight (Zero-hour), I got a Bravo 1!!!

  • @sicktown80 Absolutely NOT true! I have A1, S1, F1 VG10, F1 3G, NL2, 2x Bravo-1, 2x Northstar, Gunny, STS-5, Bravo Necker 2. Soon I will have even more.

  • Fancy and cutlery will never buy these knifes because they don't give any kick back to them, bark river how ever is top of the knifes period, anyway! This mini would an awesome neck knife! It's like ideal for a secondary in camp

  • What a great little knife...well reviewed thanks.

  • is it made in Canada? lol.

  • any arguments, sicktown?...

  • fällkniven knives are better and more beautiful than bark river knives...

  • A deployed Marine unit was given 60 knives with the names ground off. After 6 months, the Bark River was the knife they chose--specifically the "Gamekeeper". The Marines modified the design to put tangs on for fighting and renamed it the Bravo 1, These are 200 dollar knives. They are excellent. I still like the "gameskeeper" original and without tangs. I am not planning on knife fighting and in fact, my knife is survival orange in color. If I drop it, I want to find it.

  • The bark river knives will out perform and rc knive because of the convex edge and no coating.

  • This is going to be to late but I would not get 3G steel it is to hard for woods use like batoning
