@orderoutofchaos621 Total UK tax revenue last year was £589b if we take government spending back to 2007 levels £549b we can work toward a time (long time) when our government doesn't borrow any money saving us the £30-odd billion in interest every year. It's not beyond us.

@ TheVoxRox I agree that the ESM is only there to help the ideologically produced euro and not the people of Greece (which should leave the Euro) or the Euro Zone, but this does not affect the UK.

You can point the finger, scream and shout as much as you like, it won't change the reality of the situation. They are currently OUR debts. Corporations and banks generate billions in tax (including bonuses) and a huge number of jobs, we can't start crying when the cream turns sour.

@TheVoxRox Well said, he was replying to my comment and I couldn't believe what he said. That, my friend, is what I call an individual brainwashed by mainstream propaganda. Keep an eye on what happens to Greece, as all nations, which are currently operating with this interest based madness are headed towards unsustainable debt. What other system allows you to create money out of nothing and charge interest on it?

@Cat1981England: Problem is (which you seem to be unaware of) that they're NOT 'OUR' DEBTS! The debts were created fraudulently by the freakin' banks, with governments ignoring the scam because THEY and their buddy corporations were benefiting personally! So why the hell should I (or any other member of the public for that matter) tighten MY belt, whilst the scammers continue to get MEGA bonuses? Also, the HUGE bailouts only benefit the banks - NOT the country... as with Greece!
