  • mikma was here

  • MIKMA!

  • I hope some sunshine comes your way tomorrow to dry you all out! :)

  • The storm has passed. Thanks, darlin'!

  • You tell the best stories my darling. What a life time worth of stories I bet you could tell. If I can get Ms. Crabapples permission for you to come speak to my 3rd grade class would you come and act like I am your most favorite child and we have been to the moon together before and if anyone questions us you tell them that you have a wand that will put a spell on them and make them stay in the 3rd grade class of Ms. Rottenapple for ever. Bring pictures too of you bailing the water in the nude!

  • You're so funny! You should be telling this story on video. I've watched that one you have so many times I have frostbite. lol Just kidding. I hope you're at least keeping these in a journal or diary or something. Always makes me laugh!

  • God bless you...hope it worked out 4 u...

    what a great story teller u r

  • SilverLake is Laurel & Hardy country check my vid.

  • NEWSFLASH!!!

Always check the storm drains Edith....fer chrisake, get with the program!! They must be checked yearly, preferably BEFORE the friggin Monsoon hits. SoCal has notoriously poor soil, and when it gets to the point called "supersaturation", the weight of the water overcomes the frictional bond between the soil particles. When this happens you are basically screwed! Sooooo! You can only enjoy the mudride to the bottom of the ravine....IF the fires don't get you first. Enjoy the sun!!

  • Floods! Lots of fun...

  • funny story! I know what it's like...although if it was me, I probably wouldn't have noticed I was naked until afterward

I think another storm might come in tomorrow. It shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as what happened in your story

  • I'm doin a visual of the two of you at 4 am!

    What a hoot.

  • When I was a kid my grandma lived on Ettrick St in Silver Lake, I LOVED that house!

  • Great story, Valerie. :-)

  • I enjoyed this tale, and was surprised by the nakedness at the end. I thought SoCal was more conservative than that. :P

  • great story. know similar one about tin stove I used to have with no running water and nakedness
