@Kramnosnits I heard they shot his ashes into space, so he is not six under. and at a certain point death is better than old age suffering. my hope is Liddy is still enjoying his life because no civil person deserves to much pain.

G.Gordon Liddy is still alive... Tim Leary is six feet under. Judge for yourself who is more successful. Freak out, you idiots. I hope you join Tim soon.

Anti-drug philosophies and oppression are not equated. Oppressive cult scientologists will tell you that political oppression is not limited to those who practice drug abuse or abuse of others free will. Indoctrination into a lifestyle is best left to the established cultural standards and mores of a society. Taboos have purpose. Humanity and wisdom does not come from a pill. The depths of the psyche are well explored one need not experience them to understand that way lays an abyss.

"I'm interesting, and I thank you for the explanation." Not only am I interesting, but I'm interested. Sorry for that spelling mistake.

@Ebuverthebicepcurler As for doing drugs, I guess there is salvia, which is legal. I myself haven't done any psychs- I do have dreams at night of course- but I have nothing against it if it can be done safely. I don't love the law, but I'm a careful person.

@zcobryant So, different parts of the brain are used, giving a different experience to the user. Potentially, this can mean more about really can be learned. I dig that, though being interested in philosophy I know that knowledge is always suspect. For example, imagine the new way of thinking/seeing is only as credible as a dream (assuming, of course, dreams aren't credible)? I'm interesting, and I thank you for the explanation.

@Ebuverthebicepcurler (continuing) for some, they try psych drugs one time, and it's enough. For Dr. Leary, his entire life was dedicated to discovering how the mind and nervous system works and he had his PHD in psychology before he did any psych drugs. If you haven't done any psychs, it's completely impossible to understand. It's like trying to tell a fish what air tastes like. For a mature, wholesome mind, they are very beneficial. For most, they aren't.

@Ebuverthebicepcurler First off, know that I have done an extremely minimal amount of drugs. Psychedelic drugs physically force your mind to think in ways that aren't possible otherwise. For someone who's mind can handle a trip, it's an experience that cannot be paralleled, not by the way it feels but in the way you think. Realization of truth isn't anything specific or concrete, it's something different for everyone because everyone has different areas of their mind that they haven't discovered

So many people are missing out on the truth.

Timothy leary was a symbol of hope for millions of people and still is to me. Drugs aren't for everyone including myself anymore, but in the right setting and mind set a trip will enlighten life and bring about truth. If you decide to trip do it in a comfortable environment with people you are close to and have an experienced user present to guide you. DO NOT TRIP ALONE I RECOMMEND STRONGLY OUTDOOR ADVENTURES because nature brings out the beauty in a trip.
