[AN. I know it has been a long time since I posted the last chapter. Ive had this one written for awhile but it didnt seem right. I dont know, I still dont really like it but...
Uh, this chapter is a bit more serious than the last one.
Keep in mind: Rachel is confused, upset, and kind of hurt in this chapter, so I hope she doesnt come off as a bitch. If she does, its totally my fault. I just couldnt get this chapter written the way I wanted.
Also, this is dedicated to my grandma, she died last September and it was the push I needed to start writing my stories. I miss her a lot and she is my inspiration. Also its been exactly a year since I posted the Intro to this story. : )

Recap: Rachel and Joe hung out on some monkey bars and pictures were taken of it. The tabloids now thinks they are dating and have given them the couple name of Jachel.
Chapter 44 Part 1
*Normal POV*
*Rachel hung up the phone in a state of shock and confusion. She put her cell in her pocket, slipped on her shoes, and walked across the street. Just as she stepped onto the Jonas front porch, the door opened. Denise stepped out, looking through her purse. She looked up and saw Rachel, who smiled at her.*
Denise: Oh, hi Rachel. You can go on inside.
Rachel: Thanks Denise, have good day.
Denise:*walking to her car* You too, sweetie.
*Rachel walked in the house and shut the door behind her as she heard Denise start her engine. She walked around and saw that the house seemed empty. Finally she walked down the hallway that led to all the bedrooms. She found herself at Joe and Kevins door first. The door was open and Joe was sitting at the desk on his laptop. Rachel knocked on the open door and Joe turned around.*
Rachel:*she gave him a half-smile* Hey, is Nick here?
Joe:*he shut down the computer and stood up* No, he went out. But he should be home in about an hour. Whatd you need? *she sighed and he motioned for her to sit on a bed*
Rachel:*she sat on Kevins bed, while Joe sat on his own* I want to know why I shouldnt be friends with Selena. *Joe gave her a confused look* I just called Selena because about a month and a half ago, we made plans to hang out the next time she was in town, which is next week. I called her to confirm our plans and she was surprised that I would ever want to talk to [her] again, because [she] and Nick broke up two weeks ago. So image my surprise because I thought they were still dating.
*Rachel looked at Joe, who had taken a sudden interest in the carpet. By the look on his face, Rachel could tell that he knew all about the break up. Rachel ran a frustrated hand through her hair and shifted her weight. She looked up at Joe and caught his eye.*
Rachel: Okay, Im kind of upset that I wasnt told about this but, you know, whatever, its Nicks life and his business. But if Im expected to pick sides between two of my friends, there has to be a reason. Because Im not going to drop Selena as a friend unless there is a very good reason.
Joe:*he bit his lip and sighed, he was silent for a few moments while Rachel watched him* I thinkNick neededtime. *he signed again and looked down* About two weeks ago, Selena called Nick and told him she needed to tell him something. They were on the phone for an hour, when he hung up they were broken up. *Rachel raised an eyebrow but Joe didnt look up* Selena told Nick that she cheated on him. *Rachel stifled a gasp* When she was filming a crossover episode with the Suite Life on Deck and Hannah Montanawell I guess she kissed one of the Sprouse twins. She felt guilty about it and confessed. Nick broke up with her.
*Joe finally looked up at Rachel. She was looking at her hands, which were resting in her lap, and biting her lip lightly. They sat there, Rachel looking at her hands and Joe looking at her, for what felt like hours, to Rachel at least. Finally she stopped biting her lip but didnt look up.*
Rachel:*whispering* Wow. *Joe remains silent* I just.
*She trailed off, not knowing what to say. She couldnt believe that Selena cheated on Nick. Obviously it was hard to have a long distance relationship, but nothing was an excuse to cheat on someone, especially someone as great as Nick. The thing that stumped Rachel was not the fact that Nick hadnt told her, it was the fact that he didnt seem any different. He still joked around and had fun with her, Sarah, Danny, his brothers and his other friends. He seemed completely unaffected, which Rachel knew wasnt the case. Nick really loved Selena.*

haha, I felt an obligation to post 'cause it was my one year anniversary for the story. =)
haha, like I said in the AN in the 2nd part too, I'm not sure if the real Selena would cheat but it was the only way I could think of to break them up in the story.
Hmmm, I started college and I found out to day that I got an eye infection from my contacts. nbd ;p

Yeah, I have to do these med eyedrops and steriod ones like every hour. It kind of sucks but its getting better. I have to go to the eye doctor again in about an hour. -shrug- eh
haha, I know what you mean. school=the death of everything good in life (so maybe I'm a bit overdramatic) ^_^

yeah. I only have to do the drops 4x a day now, so its better. but I have to wear my glasses for a few weeks.
