  • I forgot all about Matt Herr. I could be wrong, but I think he played for NFA in the Bear Mountain league a year or two before I played for Cornwall. That was such a cool feeling knowing someone from our small corner of NY could make it. Good luck Matt with whatever your doing now.

  • I will always remember Matt Herr getting the butt end of the stick to the face from Mark Messier at MSG after Herr hit Messier late.

Was pretty funny...........eventhough the Rangers and Messier suck cock.

  • This goal completely changed the game. I don't think Yost has ever been as loud as when Herr scored. From that point on, Michigan believed they could not only skate with ND but win and they were the better team.

  • Matt Herr was one of my coaches at west point hockey camp in the summer of 96 and 97. I don't know if he will remember me but I was the guy we got into play hockey fight with. I was 15 and 16 those years. he was a really cool guy. I remember asking him a bunch of questions about his hockey career and stuff. Then I remember seeing him play for the caps a year later. I haven't heard from him in the NHL but I hope he had a good career. Good luck Matt.
