Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin, surly Lord Macintosh and cantankerous Lord Dingwall. Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.

Out of the all pixar or disney films, this is the one that shows such a motherly love.

Merida is my favourite, and Brave is my fave Disney movie (along with Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast) I love that she didn't hat a 'prince' and the love int his movie was family love and I love how it potrayed a mother daughter connection. sometimes you fight with your mum and wish she'd leave, but you will always love her and if she did go you wouldn't know what to do.

This is also one of my mum's fave Disney movies because of the same reason :)

Disney didn't make it, Pixar did. Pixar creates the story, Disney only produces it and is in charge of all the toys and merchandise that follow it.

I was really starting to doubt Disney because of all the crap they make on Disney channel, but this movie, along with Up and Wreck it Ralph really changed my mind.....They'er still good at what they do.

Yep. A tear almost dropped from the eyes when Merida dreams about her childhood with her mom.

It feels like my heart scolds my brain for not crying so the brain tries to push the tears from the eyes, but the eyes wont let them go.

Its like my eye going to punch my brain.

And also,

WHY DO FAIRY TALE CHARACTERS ALWAYS HAVE THE GOOD STUFF OF THEIR LIVES?!
