To all ignorant American media Egyptians are not black. They are North African and belonging to the Mediterranean race (They are not Nordic though). With all my due respect to black / African American people. This is a myth that was growing in the American culture not sure why but most probably i can trace back it roots to the humiliation and marginalization imposed on the African Americans at some point of time in the American Society. so they stuck themselves with the ancient Egyptians

@CalumGilhooly You keep missing the point.... "black" is just a label, none of us actually black... we're all shades of brown from light to dark. But just because someone like Nefertiti was light with a narrow nose doesn't mean she's not "black" as in the label. She looks like Iman with light skin. "Negros" don't only look like Kimbo slice. We look like Chris Brown too. Would you say Chris Brown isn't black? Coloration has little to do with nationality in terms of being "black".

@AAAAkuuuu Queen Nefertiti certainly didn't have negroid features and the pictures I have seen of her bust showed her as having a light brown/Mediterranean colouration. Tutankhamen certainly didn't have negroid features and I already agreed that there were very black pharaohs. We are on the same side here. i contend that the Ancient Egyptians were of various shades of brown to black, some were negroid and some were more Arabic. Even the hieroglyphics show their skin to be light brown, Peace.

@CalumGilhooly I don't know where you're looking but every Pharaoh from Narmer/Menes to King Tut are all negroid in color and features. Imhotep who was Joseph of the bible is shown as jet black, Moses who passed for the Pharaoh's grandson had to be black... There were no "white" (really red) people until the Edomites came on the scene... So the Egyptians who damn sure weren't Edomites, couldn't have been anything BUT  black.

@CalumGilhooly Again what gives you right to classify Egyptians as non negroid? They were sons of Ham... all of Ham's sons were black. Middle eastern is a new and man made concept... There is no middle eastern in the table of nations. Arabs are Ishmaelites... From and "black" Egyptian mother Hagar and a "black" Shemite father Abraham... that means they are, or at least were black on both sides. Arabs of today that are in positions power are a result of Ottoman Turk invasion.

@AAAAkuuuu I know man, I live in this world and I observe how people look. Fine if you want to classify the non negroid people of Ancient Egypt as black, that's up to you I just think they were more Middle Eastern looking on the whole with a wide variety thrown in. The images of pharaohs I have seen tend to have no negroid features at all and light brown skin. No offence intended, I just think they were more Arabic than Negroid. As for Alexander, whatever he did it was very long ago.
