Part 1 of 2.
This is a couple of mods that i've done in the old 90's game duke nukem 3D. and BTW ive discontinued the High resolution pack for duke b/c it runs like crap on my old PC. basically what I did was change the sounds but how the game is set up is if you put a file thats named and encoded right the game will use that file instead of the one in the duke3d.grp file the stuff ive changed is: some of the weapons sounds like the shotgun is now the one from max payne the firing and cocking is max payne's sounds, the ripper now has the ak47 gun sound from true crime LA, the toilet flush sound has been changed to a better flush sound, the payphone busy signal has been changed to the "all circuits are busy" recording, ive only changed the octabrain's sounds just the "see" sound when the octabrain sees you he now says "you not come here, illegal" from the movie blade runner. and when he is armed but idle he says hey, hey, subagota (anyone know exactly what this guy is saying in the movie?) ive changed some of the music heard in the game. The music heard in the strip club. its now lupe fiasco's superstar, the music heard in the karoke bar is now actually steppenwolf's born to be wild and the new muzak in the shop n bag store is now ti and justin timberlakes dead and gone song. Basically what you do is open the user.con file in notepad and scroll down till you see the .voc section for the sounds then all you do is use a program that makes wav files into .voc files then just make it an 11,025 hz mono PCM .voc file name it barmusic.voc for the stripper music for example and stick it in your duke directory and when you load the game and go to that part of the level it will play. the user.con file says that you can use standard .wav files, im unsure of this you are welcome to try it and get back to me on that one. the music portion of this video will be uploaded separately as part 2. the songs sound very scratchy but understandable but they should be fine on here they are inferior quality and recorded from a speaker.
Today I took a pistol sound from the Groovy Bytes disc (its a disc from 1996 with Demoscene stuff including samples) and it sounds alot better then the actual sound of the pistol firing in the game

@Upload3001 Camstudio sucks due to the lack of good codecs. I either have crap quality or the file is really huge. Can't have that. why can't it use WMV or something.
