i used to clean that factory 1978-1979. it was one of my first jobs. its a reai shame to see it close.

My one and only Camillus Cutlery product was a U.S. Navy Mark 2 combat knife a.k.a. U.S. Marine Corps combat knife or "K-Bar" I bought at the PX in Korea back in 1998. Then I discovered the old U.S. Army M-3 trench knife. I'm lucky to have bought a Camillus Cutlery made replica from a Canadian mail order company in 2009.

I was given a #4 folding knife for hs grad in '80.Looking for a US Air Force Survival Knife with Sheath and found out that camillus went out of buisness.Sad to hear company couldnt reduce in size and only produce hot ticket items even if it was only on net sales? If more ppl had known Im sure sales would have increased. I know I would have purchased even though Im not employeed now. This was a marketing issue not enough publicity.Felt like i lost a friend.

So sad that the company could not be saved.

Thank you very much for the vid. Although I was born & raised in the South (Georgia) I love the Camillus knives (pronounced Ca-mill-us). Have the the Blaze-Wildfire- Excellent knives. Very sorry to hear they are no longer manufacturing them. From a Southern Georgia Boy thank you very much for the knives. EVERYBODY from the South does not have my attitude. God bless you guys

Thanks Jim. I grew up in Camillus, NY. Lived there from 1962-74 (5 years old till 17 years old). Went to West Genesee Senior High. Thanks for the memories of Camillus Cutlery.
