  • Linda e no Brasil em 2011

  • @Elbu46 I finally got the Transalp! It's definitely a great bike. the only thing that I'm going to try to adjust is the suspension which I prefer a little softer heheheh (I think there's a regulation switch on the side of the bike that uses a special key). It's definitely a great bike, fun to ride. It took some time do adapt to the V2 engine coming from inline 4 from the Fireblade but now that I got to grips with it I just love it ;)

  • I think I will go for the Transalp. The concept of freedom (not being limited to good roads only) is really appealing, and I really liked riding it so that counts a lot. It's also a newer bike (from the ground up) I'm trying to sell my Fireblade which is a great bike, but not for the roads around here... :) I can envision very nice trips in the future with a bike like this. Thanks very much for the tips!

  • The shaft drive is a big plus... but on the other hand I like the thought of being more free with the Transalp. OK, it's not a dirt bike but you can actually drive everywhere while with the Deauvile it's more manly asphalt and normal roads. By the way, the standard Bridgestone's do good on normal streets and react good.

But sure I agree...the nicest places have the worse roads.

  • But then I think. What if, on vacations or in some weekend, I decide to go somewhere where there's bad roads or dirt all over the place... Damn! :)

After all, many of the nicest places have the worse roads

  • waisted=wasted lol

  • buying them both would be the perfect solution heheh. I wish I could have a bike for each situation ;). I value the shaft drive very much as I ride a lot and am constantly lubricating the chain... There are auto-lubricating devices but I've never tried them (I've got to someday) I really dig the Transalp, it's newer and can ride on the dirt, but I ride mainly on asphalt so it could be waisted on me. and that shaft drive is really appealing heheh.

  • Also nice bike, euheide..

    Both the same nice engine.

Although it is 40 kg heavier than the Transalp, the Deauvile doesn't have this nasty oily chaindrive.

If I was you, I would buy them both :D

Also a good sollution for the economical bad time... :D

    Grtz Elbu

  • I've ridden this bike and I've also loved it :). So much I'm considering buying one. Either that one or the Deauville. (for weekend touring)

  • Just putting a deposit on one of these babies this morning!! :D Should be ready next week :D
