@MrDerkderkallah no , you wont, oasis are very much different to the roses , the roses were very unique , as were oasis , you find chart music on the majority of twelve year old ipod, the roses debut album was fantastic , their second not so great but oasis produced 8 number one albums.. Liam Gallagher and Ian Brown are both great frontmen but theres no question about it , oasis are britpop , the roses are psychadelic/indie rock , and commercial ? fuck off!

@Mrderkderkallah : Look pal, Oasis may be commercial, but the can serve as a gateway to a whole host of top bands from the past. People can find some classic, perhaps forgotten or ignores music from past golden musical era's. When I was 17, when oasis were in their coke snorting heyday, I got into The Jam, T-Rex, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, David Bowie, through listening to and reading about them.
