Steele Responds To Rep. Hank Johnson "White Hood" Comment

A day after Rep. Henry "Hank" Johnson (D-GA) said: "I guess we'll probably have folks putting on white hoods and white uniforms again, and riding through the countrysides intimidating people," RNC chairman Michael Steele calls the statement "ignorant". (At first, Wolf Blitzer mistakenly introduces Johnson as representing South Carolina, like Joe Wilson.)

Steele adds that people like Johnson are "playing {the race} card from beneath the deck."

Blitzer also reminds Steele that the party he represents is full of white men.

I really like Michael Steele. A lot. So many black people have alienated him because he's educated, speaks well and gotten out of the hood ... more should follow in his footsteps.

There's no question that racism exists. Unfortunately it always will. However, to think of yourself as a victim of circumstance will never lead to a better life. You simply remain a victim. In other words, you keep yourself down. Beating white people about the head with the race card will never work. I have watched African American children fail in schools while other African American children excel. Unfortunately, those failing children referred to their peers as "trying to be white." Pathetic.

There is no racism here. Obama is black. His father is african. Africans have witch doctors. They practice voodoo like religions.

If someone made fun of a blonde haired white politician, making a picture of him with a sword and a viking helmet.... that's not racism.

So, it seems to me, black people are ashamed of their african ancestors. This isn't racism.

I am witness to both sides of the black community - those who excel from their hard work and those who chose to blame everyone else. I sat in the classroom with those who were smart straight A students and those who chose to remain ignorant by gathering in one corner of the classroom and ate candy, chewed gum and talked over the teacher and when she tried to quiet them they stood and threatened her. I witnessed this with my own eyes. I don't feel sorry for them.

What a disgrace. And that man is serving in the house of representatives. Which side in this nation is keeping racism alive? The side arguing for equal opportunity, or the side that accuses the other of racism whenever it doesnt agree (as a means to win elections)? Where is Wolf's comprehensive analysis of the Wall Street protestors' racism toward Jews? The far left cannot afford to allow racism to die, because it directly profits from the divison of individuals.

Great, so let's give him along with all his deranged accusations of racism a platform, and let's put the responsible elected official in the hot seat.

Wolf Blitzer is a great example of what passes for journalistic integrity in the liberal media.

@JawjaPeach27 People like you really bother me. We have been trying to be accepted by whites in this country since the first slaves touch this land. How long is it gonna take you to realize that we are not white? Even a child knows that if he keeps putting his hand in the fire it`s gonna burn and hurt. I have tried for 45 years to get along with white people but to no avail. I do have a few white friends whom I love dearly but we have to be realistic here.
