Major Japanese news media (both papers and tv stations) coverage on the recent Aso cabinet has been harshly criticized for its unfairness, uncorroborated reports and even arbitrary distortion of facts, especially by internet users who have the privilege to find the sources of the news at hand. Few would disagree that Asahi group (incl. affiliated tv stns and publishing companies), one of the largest in Japan, has always been in the lead of such series of misconducts, and their mysterious commitment to certain Asian countries has arose so much resentment within Japan, allowing them to be known as "anti-Japan news media". A verb "Asahi" was coined and appears in the most recent edition of a dictionary available in Japan, meaning "To fabricate. To harass tenaciously. To relentlessly attack someone who is differently opinionated.
