Just taking a break from hydroxy stuff and trying to build a steaicam so my vids are a little smoother.

Anyway I hope this helps someone. So take a look and leave some comments.

BTW if there are areas that need improving or where I am missing the mark, plz let me know so I can make the necessary adjustments.

  • Dont you know the saying... "nice guys finish last"

    ;)

BTW it doesnt matter how many views my vids get, the info is out for those who need it.

  • "Taking a break from hydroxy stuff..."??? I...don't...understand...break...from hydroxy stuff? What's that like? Hehe!

    Great job Steve!

  • LOL

yea my wife was watching me build this thing and asked what how it would help with hydroxy production - when I told her it didnt she gave me that same strange look.

    ;)

  • What a renaissance man! Save the world from harmful emissions with HHO and save the viewers of youtube from seasickness!

Haha your wife had the "Oh god what is he doing NOW" look i see way too often

  • na the wife is pretty used to it, however the neighbors are still a bit leery of me.

    ;)

  • Homemade steadicams are never going to be as good as the expensive ones. However they arent too bad if you balance them correctly. In this video, the only problem is that it is not balanced. Id be interested to see what it looks like when it is

  • The only problem is the mini tripod idea for the handgrip with the ball-joint. This is why the camera is wobbling side to side. Plus there is little control for panning horizontally (left to right). The hand grip should be on a hinge, which allows the wrist some play, yet still controls left to right movement.

  • whats the song in this video

  • I had way too much trouble trying to make my own. I've been very happy with the Cam Caddie since I picked it up last year for under $40. I can attach lights and mics if need be and the shot stays very smooth throughout.

  • Steadicam Plans, the real stuff. Check my vids for the plans

  • @AlmostHydrogen How is the camera mounted to the tubing?

  • Nice design. I also like your presentation of the video on here. Check out the one i made when you get a chance.

  • @SeanSennett94 try to view my stabilizer, it's like a glidecam design.. all the gimbals are made of ball bearings.. the x,y,z axis..

  • Universal joint in the handle. Hobby shops. Traxiss. No more wd-40 on ball joint. I'm sure you've seen it by now 2010. Good job and nice idea and the metal and such. Lock washers in key places. There are so many great ideas out there. Steadicam, watch out. Innovation, truly American. Thanks. I'm astounded with the # of great ideas out there. Cold Fusion next, anyone?

  • great idea!
