I am a huge fan of Mr Jeremy Fischer!
For decades this was shown on national Swedish television every year on the 23rd of december. It was taken off just a couple of years ago. A huge mistake!

i have got this on DVD and on video before that. It is my favorite ballet. It has to be good even my brother who doesn't like ballet likes it. This is my inspiration for my AS Dance Solo. Just glad i don't have to do mine in a costume.

Dear LORD I cant even imagine how hard dancing in those costumes must have been!I mean I have been a mascot in a aquarium where I was a huge Pike, and I do admit after time I could jump a little and run some times, but the area I could see was SO small I was always afraid I would miss a kid and bumb in to them or something! and thse people are hopping and frolocking around like maniacks! And there isint even an obvious plase where the person could see trough like so manu other ballet costumes need.

I just love all things and to see her wonderful 'Tales' portrayed in this way is just superb. My passion is collecting Beatrix Potter Figurines but I don't think even they compare with this wonderful performance.

I've honestly never seen this before. For my first time seeing it, I'm very impressed. The dancing is also very emotional and elegant. Besides the Looney Tunes cartoon with the singing frog, this is the other only frog that I've ever seen dance. Along with that, he costume is very realistic. No wonder this movie got a BAFTA nomination for Best Costume Design. It lost to a movie call "Death in Venice".

I had to dance to this when i was 9! I loved my costume but dancing with a fishing net is hard!

Yes, Ashton choreopraphed the whole ballet, his first job after retiring from being director of the Royal Ballet. He did it originally for the film, but there is now a stage version performed by the company. Personally I prefer the film, as I think the characterisations are better.
