Having a look at the entry level board from Gigabyte's new P55A line up. No SLI and less robust power delivery are a couple of features missing on this board when compared against its big brother the UD4P.

  • Is this motherboard good? I am planning to crossfire two Gigabyte 6850 to it. And what is sata? what does it do?

  • what the price usa doller ?

  • What is the absolute best RAM you can put in this board? Preferably in the 8gb variety.

  • Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 or MSI P55-GD65 ??

which one is more solid and better?

  • This is such a loaded board for the price.. I got one for only 120 or so. OC'd my i7 to 3.92GHz

The only thing that sucks about P55 is if you're running the marvel chipset for SATA6 or whatever, it'll cut your PCI speed down to 4x.

Linus! how much difference does it make running a graphics card in 4x as opposed to 16x?
