@cymx5 really? You win an f'ing cookie for having such a good ear! Here is the deal, the exhaust doesn't sound like shit because the car doesn't have an exhaust system installed (just an open header.)
I really don't care if you think it sounds like shit though, we didn't build it for you and we had just finished machining the parts and were just having some fun in front of the shop.

Looks and sounds fun

Naww, Military aircrafts use superchargers.
But if it's car terms, it matters what application you will use it for.

so for drifting or autocross is a supercharger or a turbo better for a miata?

@iosaturnalia Drifting, I'd go turbo... autocross, I might consider a supercharger, but really more displacement is the right answer.

Supercharger over Turbo anyday. Be sure that it is like this opcon autorotor or coldside MP62 & not a top end only centrifugal type. You will be disappointed with a Turbo.

Don't get me wrong, I love superchargers, but I was never disappointed with the turbo either... 300+ RWHP turbo miata's are sick in their own right. I was trapping 115 MPH at the end of the 1/4 mile on only 15 PSI with a T3 turbo. It was sick! So both are good... All boost is good, I haven't met a form of boost I didn't like. Although centrifugals are my least favorite form of boost.

First of all, that was without ANY exhaust, just an open header... Second, you couldn't hear the damn exhaust over the intake noise of the supercharger (which gets pretty annoying) as the owner of the car said, "It's not girlfriend friendly." Eddie, no, it's not a rotary, it's a 4 banger 1.8 Mazda BPW motor.
