why would this be a suckout??? eastgate had a big stack so he can afford to gamble, he had a pocket pair preflop and this late in the tournament so it would have been stupid to fold to a short stack all in. any decent poker players know that short stacked players can't afford to wait for premium hands to push all in (TT-AA or even AK) in a 3-5 handed table due to blinds eating into their chip stack each round

I don't get the not a 'suck out' comment above getting so many thumbs up. The comment in its self is contradictory saying how the board runs is completely irrelevant. OF COURSE it was a suck out, Eastgate was miles behind after the flop and had to suck out with the case 6 to actually win. It's a RE-suck out if it needs to be technical.

This is NOT a suckout. Suckout is only to describe someone who's heavily underdog caught his card when majority of the money was placed into the pot while losing player had winning hand. When all of the chips were placed into the pot during pre-flop, Eastgate was favorite and that's all it matters. How board runs is completely irrelevant.
