Is the eleven rack a good solution for large projects? Like recording my band's demo?
SSD 4 for drums, guitars, bass and vocals??
I would add a mic preamp for vocals but thats it??
I'm on an Imac 27 3.4 12gb ram

For what you are talking about, the 11R will handle it no problem.
Using the 11R as you main interface - you can easily make Demo quality tracks all they way to commercial quality tracks.
Now if you were wanting to record an orchestra with 20+ mics or a large drum kit with 20+ mic's all at the same time, then you would need another interface that could handle that many inputs.

I have no idea if Avid will do another Expansion Pack. I hope they do, and I hope they allow IR's to be loaded into the Eleven Rack as well.
