The much improved LA Lakers played against the Tim Duncan-less Spurs. The Lakers though had Kobe on a bum knee from knee surgery the past summer.

But nevertheless, the Spurs held their own against the Lakers even without their former 2002 MVP winner. Led by sophomore Manu Ginobili and backup Rasho Nesterovic, the Spurs nearly pulled off an upset on the Lakers. Ginobili nearly had a triple double and was on fire the first 3 quarters. But Kobe Bryant, playing with a very bad knee against Bruce Bowen had his stroke in the game and helped LA hang with the Spurs. He made 5 straight shots at one point. He began to guard Manu Ginobili on stretches in the 4th quarter playing lockdown defense despite the knee problems. It was the difference maker in LA's 120-117 win over the San Antonio Spurs in 2 overtimes.

  • Why didn't you show the end of it?

  • I don't have the ending of it, the version I got went to the 24 second mark of the 2nd overtime and stops.

  • you are...

  • LeBron's "ugly as shit" games were on full display this year twice against who? Oh right, Kobe. And just because LeBron gets 2 weak-side blocks per game and a few passing lane steals every now and then doesn't hide the fact that he can't guard a player efficiently one-on-one, something that Kobe and the truly talented defenders are able to do. As for offense, Kobe doesn't touch the ball as much as LeBron, and consequently has less scoring opportunities...
