@Sumosabie I like the demonstration. I believe that the reason a glass surface was used was assuming that before application of foundation you have created a smooth canvas, by using a primer maybe. Also I believe that one of the main objectives were to show us by using a sponge or finger, we tend to waste most of our product (particularly with sponge); and/or do not evenly spread foundation using finger. Just some thoughts I wanted to add. Thanks.

well... for the sponge you didnt really blend it out as much as the others.. and the paddle brush.. plus, glass is not porous nor is skin that incredibly smooth. so this was a good demonstration but inadequate realistically. some may work for one girl but not for another since we all have different skin.

while this was technically a good experiment, it's not useful realistically. How can a glass surface ever compare to real human skin? :\
