All the strange strange creatures, this is galifrey and the doctors theme from season 4 are my favs. I am the doctor... It's a wonderful piece I agree with you there but... That rising violin crescendo from the begining serverly irks me. It was way overused in season 5, and when I notice the music for something other than being amazing, it annoys me. It put a sour taste in my mouth, which is a real shame considering the quality of the piece.

@mushroomshrub i don't think it's been over used at all. I don't think it's even possible to over use it, which is what makes it so great. It can be reshaped and remoulded in different forms and still be brilliant. It is without doubt Gold's masterpiece. imho.

Oh I can't believe I missed this...all of them are wonderful...yet so many are missing...I guess that is the testement to Gold's music that all of them are pure gold!!!
and that scene of Journey's end...I know for sure that I will never be able to watch it without crying now..... :(
