"That Song So Does NOT FIT That Fandom" Contest (closed)

It's time for a contest.

A contest of opposites!

We all know it's fun to edit videos to a soundtrack that fits the mood. You find the perfect angsty song for your perfect angsty video. Or you just find the funniest song for that comedy show you love. But, what if you were given the chance to do the opposite?

Welcome to the "That Song So Does NOT FIT That Fandom" Contest. The idea of the contest is to come up with a video/song pairing that would never typically go together. Whether it would be The Office set to Linkin Park, or Smallville set to something hilarious, the choice is up to you.

But, at the same time the video/song MUST go together. You must make the fandom flow with the opposite song of your choice. It must not drive the judges away from watching the entire piece. It's got to create the same mood you'd want everyone to stay and watch for a pair that typically went together.

Any fandom is allowed from the TV world. We might not watch the show, but IF it works well on an editing scale & it fits what we're saying, sign up!

Also, you can enter 2 videos. It can be 2 old or 2 new, or one of each, but we would REALLY prefer if you made new ones for this...

And we may extend the deadline if it's needed...

No videos over 4:00 if you don't mind. We will have 3 winners in two categories:

1. Best TV Drama Show video with a comedy/light-hearted song

2. Best TV Comedy Show with a dramatic/angsty song


Prizes:

First place will get a sub from both of us/showcasing the video on our channels for a week or a a short video request/vidlet dependent on the fandom & the time we have from the two of us. Your choice.

Second place will get a sub from both of us & a sharing of the video

Third place will get a sub from us.

Prizes may change.
