@159aym I just lost my bird after having her for over 10 yrs. She had a very aggressive cancer and the first vet just let if go tho the second vet did surgery right away and she make it thru that but pass away about 2 weeks ago.
My 'attack kitty' has started kidney failure and has had 'mega colon syndrome' for many yrs and that has been a huge problem (it prevents him from pooping) and he's on meds for that also.
Of these 6 cats none have died as yet. My previous 3 have all passed away.

@cfud I really try to but because he was very badly abused before I got him from someones back yard he was an 'attack cat' and we had had to get him in the bathroom for yrs. He would attack my Mom and myself right out of the blue and my mother had to go the ER twice from him attacks and had blood poisoning from attacking me. He also would very viciously tear up the other cats....so we were all afraid of him. He is my 16 yr old and doesn't respond to being treated nicely tho we still try.

@chainamarie03 Sorry for your death </3 Is she still alive???

@fanof3lisa I'm sorry to hear that. One of my 2 remaining cats, Lik, has had B12 and Penicillin for her lack of B12 and different reasons a year ago. Lik did not have any reactions to those. Though we cleaned her teeth around the same time to prevent any gum diseases. Hopefully you could spend some wonderful time with them if you know you're counting down their days. Take care and good luck as I used to have 11 cats and now down to 2, so I know exactly how you feel.

@cfud They gave her a B12/Cortisone/Penicillin shot and she was better in 3 days. Then the same thing happened about 6 weeks ago. Shot fixed her again. She had real high fever the second time. I think she has gum disease that gets the best of her sometimes. Anyway, I just know their time is limited....and it will probably by close together like that.

@cfud The only problem I have had is with Muncie....In April and about 6 weels ago she got real sick with high fever and lethargic. I called my friend who is close to the vet I use and asked her to tell them I wanted to see him only. He did a blood test on her and she had no organ failure but high fever of unknown origin. see next message....
I've 6 kitties, the oldest is pushing 16 yrs and just started having renal failure, but is holding his own at the moment. My youngest is at least 61/2 yrs and I so totally dread when any one of them dies.
I spend alot of time with each one so I won't have any regret or feel guilty of ignoring them. But still, the time will come, but they have a good life now!
Bart was a very beautiful kitty, and going by the vid he seemed to be a sweet cat.
Sorry for your loss.

@chainamarie03 We've spent a lot of time (love, money, and efforts too) with our cats as well, so we have no regrets or guilt. We've dealt with 3 cats (out of 11) with renal issues (latest one passed away 2 months ago) and all of them had a very similar pattern of: drinks water more in quantity + frequency, visit to hospital, IV fluid daily (for months or even years in my latest case), anemic, then darbapoetin, lethargic, and time to stop the suffering. Spend more time with your oldest!

How did these maggot infestation occur? is it because they have not been vaccinated?
ChariotOfFaith 3 months ago
@ChariotOfFaith Those maggots came from the dead skin/flesh that caused by the tumor that expanded from within her body. This was more than 2 years ago, but I still feel very sorry for Bart (even this was probably the best option for her - see my other replies on different options we were given by different vets), the cat in this video, whenever I think about it or re-watch the clips.
