Hey you forgot my favorate way of exposure to japanese - youtube! There are TONS of japanese shows and vloggers on youtube and just like you said, after a while you'll start picking out words you know and learn new phrases. Thanks for the vid maybe I'll check out that book, later

Hey Joshua, I'm just starting to study Japanese, with a view to one day vsiting and hopefully working in Japan. I've always admired the country and the culture and have a lot of admiration for those who are out there living the dream. Just wanted to say thanks for the advice I'm definately going to look on the net for some Japanese TV shows, to see if I can pick out what little Japanese I've learnt to date. umm for watching japanese tv just downlode livestation you can watch tv from all over the world but i like to watch tv tokyo

I studied the language for three straight years in college but have picked up more being married to a Japanese spouse and watching TV shows she owns on DVD. Everyone learns differently.
