you never start both engines. You only do one at a time because of safety issues and because you want to watch the startup sequence one engine at a time.

Yeah I love that sound... what sounds better is the duel engine start though!!!! nice vid...

Incorrect. Refer to Chapter 5 of the -10 and you can do a Dual Engine start below 25 degrees Celsius at sea level. It is a function of how much air the APU can pump to the two engines.

@stormbats it is i always call it change 4 because they changed it yet again lol. and yes i do hear others out and safe skies to you too.
-
@namron0805 well... it should be a brand new edition of the manual. sept 09 with change zero. also, good to know that you're willing to hear others out. safe skies, my friend.

@stormbats 700's here on alpha's (old ass shit) not trying to be a know it all just never heard of or seen a dual start in all my years. You learn somthing new everyday. will look at the -10 again and read up on it just got change 4.
-
@namron0805 701c, retrofitted to alpha's.
-
@stormbats you on lima'a mikes's or alpha's?
-
well you must work in someplace that's high altitude or hot all the time. suggest you go back into chapter 5 of the -10, and look at the dual-engine start envelope. where i am, on the cooler days we can perform dual starts all day long.
-
No you can since the blackhawk is a bleed air start system. you dont have enought bleed air to push both starters to the required speed, you lose too much air pressure from the apu. next time you comment please know somthing about the blackhawk ive been working on them for years.

oh nice 1337 viewer

who says you can't do dual engine start? there's plenty of reasons why you can do a dual engine start.

Im Zuge unserer Ausbildung bei der Austrocontrol hatten wir das Vergnügen, mit dem Blackhawk nach Wien und zurück zu fliegen. Damit wollen sie uns die "andere Seite" des Radarschrims näher bringen ;-)
