  • The inclusion of Shabooya Roll Call in this 1966 movie documents that this "rap" (or cheer or song) pre-dates its inclusion in the 2006 Bring It On All Or Nothing cheerleader movie (with different verses but the same Shabooya shs sha shabooya roll call chorus. Google Cocojams Foot Stomping Cheers for the words to this Get On The Bus version and the words to the Bring It On version, and more.

  • @New7Michael7 You're welcome. I also want to let you & others know that I added a post on my website about how to write "Shabooya Roll Call" soloist verses that conform to that rap/cheer's traditional pattern. Google Cocojams The Right Rhyming Pattern For Shabooya Roll Call Verses. I also wrote a post that explores possibile sources of the word shabooya. Google Cocojams Possible Sources Shabooya.

    Thanks!

  • You are weclome New7Michael7

However, I want to correct a typo that I made. Spike Lee's movie was in 1996. Also I made another typo in that comment regarding the "Shabooya sha sha sha booya" chorus.

Also, some here may be interested in a post that I've written which attempts to suss out the sources for the word "shabooya". Google Cocojams Possible Sources For The Word Shabooya. And I plan other post about that rap/cheer soon.

    Thanks!
