Hang Ten World Open 1976 Hang Gliding Competition held at Escape Country on Robinson's Ranch near San Diego. Chris Smith (Harness maker Tennessee), Garry Knieves and myself (Bob Grant)drove Garry's 57 Cadillac the 2,300 miles to the greatest Hang Gliding competiotion ever. There were 350 pilots competing. Hope that you like the footage.

after flying the gliders we do today and being in the turbulence that i have been in,i have to say you guys had huge balls.I trained on a sst,this makes me respect you guys even more!.

I realze that some of my first gliders did not have much dive recovery built into them and so I guess that I am lucky that I have survived. That first Bennett harness was not easy to run with but my next one was lots better.
