i dont have a back ground that i call my own,its only what other people have told me that i have taken for granted.I dont want to take their fake identities and then play their silly little game of who i am and what i should be or what others are, there is only fear and insecurity trying to feel safe with in an identity, which i have to constantly protect from being tarnished by others like the fanatics who blow themselves and kill others..! I want to meet ppl and not societies projection of them!

why are you so obsessed and attached to your identity? Does it not isolate you more and more into a narrow frame work!!

Are you ashamed of your background? What about this discussion makes you so uncomfortable? For me, my own roots inspire curiosity and respect for other people(s), & other ways of being. Indeed, through my work as well as net musings, I explore and, I should add, have a deep appreciation for the various aspects of my identities (my gender, my religious background, my regional roots, ethnic back ground, working class roots, and 'race'). Knowing myself reminds me of how small I am in the world.
