AAV Platoon. 2nd. Plt. B co., 2nd AAVBn. Detached to UNITAS 37 1996 ABOARD USS LAMOURE COUNTY LST 1194 Part 1 of 2. Filmed while on float around South America. USS LaMoure county ran aground a few years after this was filmed. Navy determined repairs too expensive and the ship was used for target practice and sunk off the coast of South America. In part 1 you'll see my platoon getting ready to board for deployment and the first part of the float. Some Marines seen: Dykema, Sturgeon, Decoster, Fricano, doc Pitt, Leisure, Hassle, Murphy, Gy. Lady LaMoure was my first ship right out of bootcamp. I spent a year on her before going to OS "A" School.
