It was supposed to be a time lapse of the tree dropping it's leaves then regrowing new ones. But it decided to die instead, ruining all my hard work!

  • growing? it was dead in the first place.

  • @GTAIVman i don't thing it was, because the buds for the new leaves were growing bigger for a month or so....

  • Well... Didn't it die because you kept it indoors? It's not a tree from any exotic zone to begin with.

  • this is funny haha

  • @tugboat0970 thats not true. i have chinese elms that have been kept indoor for years and are perfect. however you are right that the tree in this video didnt have a chance as it should be kept outdoor.

  • aww thats sad. arent japanese maple outdoor bonsai?

  • It was a great idea. I hope you make another go at it. I'd love to watch.

  • Hey, you live and you learn. It is a deciduous species, but you can keep tropical trees inside all year round if you want to (given you have the proper growing conditions). Hey, we gotta learn somehow!

  • Poor tree didnt have a chance. I quess some people dont have a clue about bonsai. Next time keep the tree outside. No such thing as an indoor bonsai.
