Yes, the Swiss pass is wonderful - we try to use one every year. The best journey we did was one year when we had a very long round trip from Luzern - Brunig, Spiez, Lotschberg, Simplon, Centovalli and finally the Gotthard back to Luzern.

A beautiful journey, but when I did it (I think it was in 2005), the old funicular to Grutschalp was still running - it's sad to see it being replaced with yet another cable car. We walked from Grutschalp to Murren - we were walking in the clouds for most of the way, but just before we got to Murren, the cloud suddenly lifted and revealed the whole stunning view of the Jungfrau and surrounding mountains in glorious afternoon sunshine. It was one of those moments you can never forget.

What a beautiful journey. I took this trip in 1974, and I still dream about it.

Fantastic. Super. Nice presentation. recommended video for people wanting to visit Murren as it gives proper information. 5 stars.

Well, the best way to explore Murren or may be entire switzerland is by taking a swiss pass for any required number of days. it could be 4,8,15,22,30 consecutive days or flexible day pass for any 3,4,5 or 6 days in a month.. This pass gives you unlimited use of Swiss Public Transport system. You get 50% reduction with this pass for all mountain excursions like Schilthorn, Jungfraujoch etc. If you need one, let me know. I am a Swiss Tour operator.
loved the place!
brings up the memories 3 years ago...
but why do you fat Americans keep riding all the time?
stop it, go out of the train and start walking, stop changing rids!
only fat Americans ride all the time, especially from Grutschalp to Murren

Wow, that was rude! First of all, I'm American but not fat. Second of all, we rode because we only had a couple of hours to kill and didn't have time to make the hike. Actually, two of our group *did* hike back down.
