Truly incredible. I think most people are lucky if they find one thing in life they do exceptionally well. Lee Maye did two things, singing and baseball.

Thank you for posting Arthur Lee Maye's music. I wrote an unofficial biography on Arthur Lee Maye. He was a unique and special talent- a major league musician and major league baseball player. No one else in American history ever had a true dual career as a major singer and major athlete like Arthur Lee Maye. This record has the only lable that credits both careers. It reads: Lee Maye of the Milwaukee Braves.

Another fine sound!

I first heard of Arthur Lee Maye when he played center field for the Boise Braves in the Pioneer League in the mid-1950s. He went on to have a decent major-league career, primarily with Milwaukee, and he once hit a league-leading 44 doubles. His career batting average was over .300. And actually, I was unaware that he also had a singing career (often with a group called The Crowns) until after he was retired from baseball.
